Company Overview

EnerBest is a company specializing in stability and environmental control of satellites mounted inside the payload fairing of the Korean launch vehicle, Nuri.
We develop/manufacture MTU (Movable Thermostating Unit) for the stability of satellites and operate launches.
Furthermore, we produce/supply core parts for thermal control/fire safety systems inside the Nuri as well as MTU connectors, vent devices, and sensor blocks that measure the internal temperature, humidity and pressure of the launch vehicle.

Technology / Product Service Overview and Key Points

Need to secure national independence of domestic launch systems

With the advent of the New Space Age, the importance of space defense has been increasing rapidly. In result, countries have been launching satellites more frequently, and in such situation, it is necessary to secure national independence of the domestic launch system.
In the case of the Korean launch vehicle Nuri, the MTU for stabilizing the satellite is imported from the United States, and most satellites are being launched abroad such as in the US, Russia and Brazil

Accordingly, EnerBest developed the MTU for the stability of satellites during the launch operation of the Nuri together with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute.
The MTU is a device that supplies constant temperature/humidity and Class 7 clean air within the payload fairing regardless of the launch environment and external environment, and it is a system that can be used outside of extreme environments, and is being used for launching the Korean launch device Nuri 1, 2 and 3

• Operation condition: normal operation at angles, continuous operation for one week

Applications

• Possible to provide satellite control services that can respond to different needs such as multi-purpose, mid-size, cluster, KPS, security satellites, etc. through small, medium and large launch vehicles in the public, private and security sectors

• Can be applied in the production and construction of constant temperature and humidity rooms, constant temperature and humidity facility and systems in various industrial sectors requiring large capacities and high cleanliness

Market Outlook

• In the case of the Nuri that was launched successfully carrying an actual satellite in May 2023, gas is supplied to adjust temperature, cleanliness and humidity of the satellite mounted on the payload fairing, and there are more plans for the Nuri to launch more practical satellites in the future (Nuri 4, 5, 6).

There is the possibility of launch for Nuri 7-9, and demand is also expected in the satellite operation service (stabilization) and environmental control relating to next-generation launch vehicles and private company launches
